Program Application

Deadlines for applying to the FPM Program are:

  • Fall Semester: August 1st
  • Winter Semester: December 1st
  • Spring/Summer: April 1st
Applicants need to have completed four pre-requisite classes:

  1. Acc 200 Principles of Accounting
  2. FPM 110 Foundations of Facility & Property Management
  3. Econ 110 Economic Principles and Problems
  4. Stat 221 Principles of Statistics
* Grades received in these classes and all other completed FPM major required classes will be basis for 70% of the consideration for acceptance into the program. 30% of the consideration is reserved for leadership, skills and experience. Because we have a growing major, availability may also be a factor in determining final count of accepted applicants.

To apply to the program, download the BYU FPM Application to the Professional Program and fill it out completely. Include with your application packet: your resume (one page typed, see the blue book), explaining why you are applying to the FPM program, what skills you have that would add to the program, and what leadership experiences you have

After applying, a letter will be sent informing you of the decision. This letter may take over a month to arrive. If you aren't accepted in the semester you applied, reapply the next semester. There are many classes that need to be completed that don't require the Professional program status. See the advisors for assistance in planning.  (Hint* AIM on Route Y will have the information posted before you receive the letter. If your status changes from Pre-professional to Professional, then you know you have been accepted)
